My feet hurt

Seriously. I didn’t sleep well, been too stressed out, so after about … four hours of sleeping with constant waking I said fuck it and got out of bed. Got myself dressed and quietly went out since the hubby was still asleep. I did a 1:1 jog:walk then a 2:1 jog:walk for 30 minutes, a short stint of yoga and yoga specific ab work, and push ups. Then I went on about a 6 mile walk where I ended up doing a really big circle at one point and then went to the storage facility. I needed to get something out of a box and since my stomach had time to settle from the yoga stuff I did as many traditional situps as I could (which honestly wasn’t that many, pretty sure I stopped around 50 cause my tailbone was screaming about the concrete floor.

Was still early so I popped into Wendy’s for their fresh lemonade and made a few phone calls to handle some business while I waited for the thrift store to open. Funny enough I saw a lot of things there that I had donated in the move recently and I ended up spending $5 on a workout shirt and a lace poncho thing (both of which fit great and are in new condition).

After that I trekked over to the dollar tree, didn’t find what I want, so kept going to the grocery. Picked up a big bottle of Naked’s Green Machine since my stomach was complaining and I’m on an almost entirely liquid diet right now (solids haven’t been settling well). After that I walked home.

So all in all I walked about 10 miles and jogged maybe 3/4 (me and running haven’t gotten along since middle school track team and not wanting to have to carry an inhaler… plus the whole sports bra issue makes it a real pain… literally). And I’m not even done for the day lol! Bout to shower and bus over to Walmart (since I know Joshua hates it and avoids it like the plague, I won’t bother asking him to come). I’ll be out another few hours since public transport around here takes forever. (Which he doesn’t seem to mind since he’s entertained with anime and a game, it’s kind of like having an easily entertained cat)

By the time I get home again, who knows what I’ll have the energy to do. Running on little sleep and not a lot of fuel here! But I don’t feel sleepy or anything, just sort of worn – I guess that’s alright. I’ve done pretty good the last few days. Haven’t slept more than 6 hours but I’ve gotten a lot done so I haven’t minded as much as I normally would. (Guess I don’t really have the energy to think about how tired I am lol)

My feet do hurt, but it’s not a need to be soaked pain just had to get off them for a bit. Maybe I’ll give them a good soak later tonight cause it’s back outside tomorrow morning too.

My thighs, destroyer of pants

It may sound funny, but it’s true. My thighs are the destroyer of all pants, even high quality denim as I have discovered. I bought a pair of jeans when my grandma took me shopping for Christmas. They weren’t cheap jeans either and I wear them as my ‘daily jeans’ since they are the only pair that fit properly, not too tight and not loose. As a result they are already half worn on the inner thigh and will need patches soon to reinforce the area.

Obviously this is because I have large thighs that rub together when I walk. They’ve always been that way. Ever since I hit puberty I’ve had tree trunks for legs, and honestly I don’t mind them at all. Other people might not find them attractive but then again, they should know I could probably crush their head with my thighs. My legs are wonderful tools. They carry me all over town and they are of great assistance in moving furniture. (I usually move furniture via sitting down and pushing the item with my legs. Works like a charm, ha!)

But I would love it if I could keep a pair of pants intact for more than a few months of daily wear…

Awesome finds

This week has been full of good finds! Tuesday I went with my buddy Katie and two of her friends to Thrift USA where we’ve had lots of luck finding awesomeness. The first time Katie and I went I found a sexy jean skirt and two pairs of heels, one of which is a pair of STEVE MADDEN shoes. If you don’t now Madden’s are almost always $50+, even for sandals. I got a pair of Madden peep toe pumps for … *drum roll* … TWO DOLLARS. Awesomeness achieved!

Well this was my second trip to that particular thrift store so my hopes were high and I wasn’t disappointed! I ended up spending $17 and walked away with a super cute black dress with ribbon straps (that actually fits), a long white cotton skirt, a short brown “fairy” skirt, and a pair of seemingly brand new brown wedge sandals. Not bad at all. I’ve already worn the shoes several times and the white skirt. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to wear the dress soon too. I’m going to pair it with a pair of super cute pumps I have from Charlotte Russe which match the ribbon accents on the dress.

When I get the chance I’ll update this post with photos!
